Edwardian 18ct Gold, Sapphire & Diamond Snake Ring

145K
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful gold double snake ring that has been set with a and a . Both snakes have small rose diamond eyes. It was made in Birmingham in 1905 when the fashion for entwined snakes was at it’s height as entwined snakes mean “Eternal love” so they were given as wedding rings or commitment rings. Many versions were made but this snake ring is lovely as the snakes have friendly expressions and really look like they love each other. Some snake rings that we see are really mean looking! So this could be the ideal ring for the lady of your dreams!

Ollys Pick

These snake rings are wonderful especially when they are as well modelled as this one.
