Edwardian 18ct Gold, Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring with Tiny Flower Motifs around the Edge

622 N
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a very unusual 18ct gold ring that may have been a special commission.  It has been claw set with a pale cornflower blue sapphire that is most likely a Sri Lankan stone. It is surrounded by old mine cut diamonds then on a lower level are tiny flowers set with rose diamonds. The pretty trifurcated shank gives the ring a light look. It was made circa 1900-1910 and is as wearable now as it was over one hundred years ago as a dress or engagement ring.
