Edwardian 18ct Gold, Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring

620T
Written by Olly Gerrish

A neat looking 18ct gold ring that was made in 1908 in Birmingham. It has been set with a lovely ruby that has a slightly purplish hue. Around it are twelve well matched diamonds. The word “Ruby” stems from the latin “Ruber” meaning red. Throughout the ages the ruby has represented nobility, purity, and passion so it has featured in many pieces of jewellery. The shank has interesting decorative notches on either side that add character to this very pretty ring. It would make a beautiful engagement ring.
