Edwardian 18ct Gold Ring set with a Large Oval Cabochon Cut Opal & Diamonds

816W
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very pretty 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been claw set with a large colourful oval cabochon cut opal that displays vivid green, red and blue flashes. On either side are four claw set old mine cut diamonds that contrast so well with the opal. The shoulders are a lovely carved scroll motif. It is an unusual design that we have not seen before.

This ring looks utterly beautiful when worn.
