Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum Two Stone Peridot & Diamond Crossover Ring

729P
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a beautiful 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been platinum claw set with two vivid green peridots. Peridot is named after the French word “peritot”, meaning gold, because the mineral can vary towards this colour. On either side are platinum claw set graded small diamonds in a twist design that was a typical style during the Edwardian period. Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage.
