Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Sapphire & Diamond Marquise Ring

694K
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A really pretty gold shaped ring set with graded white diamonds and overlapping set with square cut sapphires. It was made circa 1910-1920 and is so typical of the period with rays of pierced work within the top and a central cluster. There is further decoration in the form of millgrain. Millgrain decoration is the form of tiny bead shapes that are raised on the edges using a knurling tool and which add intricate detail. The whole effect is light and beautiful. It would make an ideal engagement or dress ring.

Ollys Pick

This is an unusual ring as the design is like lace work
