Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Opal & Diamond Ring

776S
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty and neat 18ct gold ring that was made in the early 1900s. It has been claw set with a vivid opal that displays good flashes of mainly red, and some green and blue. On either side are three diamonds that add a little sparkle. Opals were the new stone in town at that time so they were set in to rings, necklaces, pendants, brooches and bracelets. They are stunning stones and vary hugely in colour so no one opal is the same!
