Edwardian 18ct Gold, Platinum & Diamond Drop Earrings

75N
Written by Olly Gerrish

An pretty pair of 18ct gold and platinum drop earrings that were made circa 1900-1910. Each one has been set with an old mine cut diamond with rose cut diamonds in a pierced work design within millgrain settings. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. They have secure hinge back fittings.
