Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Diamond Cluster Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

63N
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very pretty gold daisy cluster ring that was made circa 1910. It is a lovely well balanced design with a  slightly raised centre that has been set with a thirty five and smaller diamonds around it.  The centre diamond is a good bright 35 point white stone.  There are also small diamonds set in to the . There is further millgrain detail on the . This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. The top is platinum and the is 18ct gold.  It would make a wonderful engagement ring.
