Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Aquamarine & Rose Diamond Oval Cluster Ring with Millgrain Detail

263R
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very pretty ring that was made circa 1900-1910. At this time pale stones were in fashion as they went so well with the clothes which were worn such as satins, silks and lace. This ring has been set with an aquamarine within a yellow gold setting surrounded by rose diamonds within platinum settings with further millgrain detail. The seawater colour of aquamarine has given this gemstone its name as the word “aquamarine” is derived from the Latin word for seawater. It is as wearable today as it was back then and would make a perfect engagement ring
