An unusual gold ring that was made circa 1910-1920. It is set with a shaped pink that is surrounded by well matched white diamonds. Pink sapphires are made up of the mineral corundum that is coloured by trace elements of chromium. This is how they get their beautiful colour. If the chromium content is high then you get a deeper red colour, which in turn makes the stone a . There is a diamond set in to each shoulder. It would make a lovely engagement or dress ring.
