Edwardian 18ct Gold Peridot & Diamond Cluster Ring

515P
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been set with quite a large peridot. Peridot is named after the French word “peritot”, meaning gold, because the mineral can vary towards this colour. Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage. Around the peridot are fifteen old mine cut diamonds. The unusual pierced shoulders have been engraved with dots and stripes. A perfect dress or engagement ring.
