Edwardian 18ct Gold Moonstone & Diamond Heart Shaped Ring by Henry Barnett Joseph

57N
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a beautiful 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910 in Chester. It is heart shaped with a cabochon heart shaped moonstone and diamonds around it within an 18ct gold setting. The whole design is pleasing to the eye and it sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear. In the early 1900s jewellery set with moonstones was very popular as it went with the ivory coloured lace and soft coloured satin clothes of the time. Henry Barnett Joseph was a well known firm of jewellery makers who mainly specialised an Art Nouveau designs.
