Edwardian 15ct Gold Two Swallows Brooch

628P
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 15ct gold brooch of a pair of swallows in flight. They have been set with graded natural split pearls and have tiny cabochon ruby eyes. The swallow was considered daring, risk-seeking, and a symbol of change for good in the future. It also meant “Everlasting love” and “loyalty” as swallows mate for life. This brooch was made circa 1900-1910.
