Edwardian 15ct Gold Suffragette Pendant in Original Case

509G
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

The stones in this Suffragette pendant spell “Give” / Green / Peridot, “Women” / White / Diamond, “Votes” / Vermilion / Garnet. It would have been worn to show one’s sympathy with the movement. It is in lovely condition and was originally retailed in Dundee, a city known for its Suffrage sympathisers, such as Margaret Irwin who was a Trade Union and Suffrage activist. Margaret, aged 34, embarked on a lifetime’s work to improve the lot of women in the workforce.
