Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. More gold chain that was made circa 1900-1910. It has a 15ct gold tag mark which was the way that many chains were markedA small hallmark or punchmark either on the inside or outside of the shank which indicates the metal is platinum, gold or silver. If the metal is gold, it could also indicate the carat, e.g. 18 carat gold. More. It is also marked “18” on the bolt ring. The colour of the gold is a lovely buttery yellow and the design is called “Price of Wales twist” after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband.
It is a good medium length so it can be worn on its own or with a pendant.
