Early 20th Century Palladium, Sapphire & Diamond Ring

96X
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty ring that was made in the early Art Deco period, circa 1920. The shank is palladium which is much harder and more durable than gold, and lends more protection against impact and a greater resistance to denting. It has been claw set with a beautiful square cushion cut cornflower blue sapphire. On either side is a claw set early brilliant cut diamond that weighs approximately 0.40 carats. Then there are smaller claw set diamonds around the edge and set down the shoulders.

It is an unusual design and would make a perfect engagement ring.

Ollys Pick

This ring is an unusual design and the sapphire is such a pretty colour.
