Early 19th Century 18ct Gold & Silver, Diamond Cluster Ring with Locket on Reverse

845T
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A wonderful surviver this ring was made around 1830 so it is just under two hundred years old. It is composed of a cluster of old mine cut diamonds with three further old mine cut diamonds on each of the shoulders. The shank is 18ct gold and the diamonds have been set in silver. On the reverse is a small glazed locket that would have originally held a lock of hair. A wonderful ring for a collector as engraved inside is “Eliz Dorville Obt (died) jan 1838 Ad (aged) 68”.

Ollys Pick

This is such a beautiful early cluster ring.
