Art Nouveau 10ct Gold & Turquoise Matrix Bracelet

648S
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 10ct gold bracelet that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been set with three cut . Apart from pattern, a black coloured matrix, usually formed by iron pyrite, is highly sought after because of its stunning contrast against the blue-green hues of turquoise. Turquoise is undoubtedly the gem most closely aligned to Arts and Crafts jewellery and was liberally used by a wide range of designer craftsmen, most notably Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co, and the retail firm Murrle Bennett & Co. Turquoise is also the for those born in december. This bracelet has an added security chain
