Art Deco Platinum, Zircon & Diamond Large Cluster Ring

180P
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A really striking platinum ring that was made in the 1920s. It has been set with an eight carat zircon. Zircon is often mistaken for a diamond because of it’s high refraction. The name of this type of zircon is Jacinth which is a yellow variety. It is one of the oldest gemstones and the name goes back to biblical times before there were mineralogical classifications for gemstones. It is such an interesting stone and is surrounded by well matched white diamonds within millgrain settings. The gallery is light like a spider’s web. It would make an amazing engagement or dress ring.
