French Art Deco Platinum & Unheated Ceylon Sapphire Ring with Baguette Diamond Shoulders

512T
40 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A fantastic Art Deco platinum ring that was made in France in the 1920s. It is so typical of the Art Deco period in it’s geometric form. It has been claw set with an octagonal cut unheated sapphire. The sapphire weighs just under four carats and is of Sri Lankan origin. The colour is the most beautiful light cornflower blue. On either side stepped down are two graduated baguette cut diamonds. This ring is accompanied by a gemmological report stating that it is a natural stone with no indications of heating, originating from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). What a perfect and very special engagement ring.

Ollys Pick

This style of ring is becoming rarer and rarer to find, especially an original ring from the Art Deco period.
