Art Deco Platinum, Diamond Solitaire Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

938S
Written by Olly Gerrish

A timeless Art Deco single stone diamond ring made in the 1920s. The transitional cut diamond has an attractive icy white look and weighs approximately 1.15 carats. This cut emerged during the Art Deco period as diamond manufacturers experimented with different stone proportions, typically opting for a low ‘crown’ or top section. This gives the platinum ring a lovely clean design and means that it sits low on the finger. The centre stone is set with eight rounded claws and flanked by three tiny single cut diamonds on each side. This would make a stunning and very practical engagement ring.
