Art Deco Platinum, Cabochon Emerald & Diamond Ring

345P
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A fabulous ring that was made in the 1920s. It has been set with a three and a half that has been cut ‘en cabochon’. The word is a stone that is cut with a highly polished, rounded or convex top with no faceting and a flat or slightly domed base. The term comes from the French ‘caboche’ meaning knob or small dome. The emerald is a wonderful green and is surrounded by well matched white diamonds. The split have been set with further graduated diamonds. It is an amazing ring and can be worn either as a dress ring or an engagement ring.
