Art Deco 18ct White Gold & Platinum Sapphire & Diamond Ring

813L
Written by Olly Gerrish

A stylish ring. It is with a top and is set with four French cut sapphires with small well matched white diamonds on either side. French cut stones are not referring to the fact that they were cut in France. It refers to their shape and design. They can be recognised by the typical cross the crown facets depict. The French cut date back to the beginning of the 1400’s but they came into fashion in the 17th century where they were popular with royalty and nobility. French cut stones regained popularity during the Art Deco Era where they complimented the regular, geometric designs brilliantly. This ring would make a great engagement ring.
