Art Deco 18ct Gold & Platinum Three Stone Diamond Ring with Diamond Border

780L
Written by Olly Gerrish

A wonderful Art Deco platinum ring that was made in the 1920s. In the centre it is set with three large diamonds that are slightly raised. They have a total weight of 1.10 carats. Around them are smaller diamonds in a scalloped design. The platinum has millgrain work. The literal translation for millgrain, a french word, is a thousand grains. When used in jewellery it refers to a decoration on the edges of the surface and is achieved by using a knurling tool. It would be perfect as an engagement ring.
