Art Deco 18ct Gold and Platinum Diamond Solitaire Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

11U
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

This solitaire ring was made in the 1920’s. The style is typical of the Art Deco era and the geometric designs that jewellers were experimenting with in that time. The transitional cut stone weighs 1.17 carats.  The intricately designed shoulders are set with small diamonds. Inside the shank the ring is hallmarked 18ct Platinum. This indicates that the shank is made out of 18ct white gold and the diamonds are set in platinum. The strong double claws are also typical of this era. It is a very practical ring to wear every day. It would make a fabulous and stylish engagement ring.
