Art Deco 14ct White Gold, Onyx & Diamond Geometric Ring

10N
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very stylish ring that was made in the 1920s in Austria. It is typical of the period with it’s geometric design. It has been set with two well matched white diamonds, one above the other within a hexagonal of . On either side are two small diamonds with millgrain detail in the settings. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name “Millgrain” meaning a thousand beads. It would make a wonderful engagement ring as it sits low on the finger so is practical to wear..
