Art Deco 14ct Gold & Platinum, Moonstone, Rose Diamond & Onyx Octagonal Shaped Ring

197R
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A stunning 14ct gold ring that was made most likely in Austria circa 1920. It is typical of the Art Deco period in the choice of stones and the geometric octagonal style. In the centre is a cabochon moonstone with a fine oval ring of small diamonds set on a lower level in platinum with millgrain detail around them. Then the outside octagonal shape has been set with cleverly cut onyx that slants downwards within millgrain settings. It is a lovely proportion on the finger and looks beautiful when worn
