1950s Ballerina Ring set with a Pink Sapphire & Baguette Diamonds

910T
Written by Olly Gerrish

An impressive 18ct gold ring that was made in the 1950s. This style is known as a ballerina ring because of the tutu design. Ballerina clusters were first seen in the 1950s. Their creation involved meticulous precision and exactness in the cutting and setting of the gemstones to lie perfectly next to each other in order to achieve the movement of a ballerina. In the centre is a claw set light pink sapphire that weighs approximately one carat. Around it are tapered baguette diamonds in a wavy design with a total weight of approximately 2 carats. It looks really fantastic when worn.
