1930s 18ct Gold, Ruby and Diamond Cross Over Ring

270S
Written by Olly Gerrish

The cross-over style, with its sinuous line and obliquely set stones, found its way into popularity in the early 20th century, and stayed there. This example, dating to around 1930, focuses on a vivid pinkish-red Burmese ruby, flanked by two small brilliant cut diamonds. It is an understated yet elegant engagement ring.
