18ct White Gold Diamond Solitaire Ring with Princess Cut Diamond Shoulders

48T
Written by Olly Gerrish

Although this is a relatively modern 18ct white gold ring it has been beautifully made. I especially liked the use of the graduated Princess cut diamonds on the shoulders. The princess-cut diamond is characterised by its geometric, sharp square shape. A contemporary cut, with angular, strong lines, it has a pyramidal shape, with four bevelled sides. The princess-cut diamond was invented by Betazel Ambar and Israel Itzkowitz in 1980. The claw set centre diamond is a good bright white stone and weighs forty points. It would make such a pretty engagement ring.
