Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a classic engagement ring that was made in Birmingham in 1993 by Deakin & Frances. Founded in 1786, The company was originally known as Deakin and Moore from 1848–1879. Charles Deakin retired in 1881 and John Francis joined the firm. The company then became known as Deakin & Francis, becoming a limited company in 1902. Deakin & Frances are famous for high quality jewellery and this ring is no exception. The two and a half is a wonderful Royal blue colour and is surrounded by twelve evenly matched good bright white diamonds. It sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear on a daily basis.
