Written by Olly Gerrish

A very pretty 14ct gold pendant on a chain. The main stone is a pink topaz which is a valuable stone. In 19th century Russia pink topaz was really popular. Precious topaz comes in a diverse array of gorgeous colours. It has a unique crystal structure that makes it a hard and dense gemstone. Topaz’s reds and pinks are caused by chromium within the stone. This stone was most likely mined in Burma or Russia and is a really pretty pink. Above it are small diamonds in a leaf and three stone design. Topaz is one of the birthstones for November. This pendant was made circa 1950 and is suspended from a 14ct yellow gold chain.
